8.11 - Gear
Exacta airs 2980 PD Pantográfica Planter possess revolutionary
system of INPUT GEAR for the driving of seed and fertilizer distributor system,
guaranteeing quick and efficient adjustments.
The transmissions of seed and fertilizer distributor system are similar,
they are composed of several gears that synchronized with the gears of the
driving shaft of the seed or fertilizer distributor system of the planting units,
(Fig. 063), allow to alter the rotations according to the wanted quantity of
fertilizers, or of seeds.

To change the speed of the seed and fertilizer gear proceed in the
following way:
a-) Pull the lever of the tensioner until that the same stay arrested in
the backstop of the lock;
b-) Loosen the drive and driven gears support rubbers, and move up
until the wanted position.
c-) Align the drive and driven gears, put the chain in the chosen gears
according to the distribution to be made, loosen the backstop lock lever.
d-) Tie the support rubbers again, fastening the gears.
The gear chain tensioner has auto-compensate torsion spring to absorb
all the possible adjustments. The fixation support of the chain tensioner
has eccentric system for the spring pressure adjustment, being enough for
that to loosen the nut and to move the tensioner support in the vertical
sense. AFTER CHANGING THE
SPEED, BE CERTIFIED THAT THE
EXCENT RIC SUPPORT IS KEEPING THE T ORSION SPRING
TENSIONED, THE TENSIONER PROPERLY FIXED AND THE CHAIN
TENSIONED.
