Use
Read these instructions carefully before use. Check that the mains voltage corresponds with the data
specified on the appliance type plate.
1.
Plug in the power cord. A beep will be heard, and 3:00 will start flashing in the character display.
2.
The appliance is now ready to be used. It will automatically be set to baking program 1, but the
program will not start.
FUNCTIONS
Program menu
Used to select baking program. Switch between baking programs with the button. A beep is heard every
time the button is pressed. The selected program is shown in the character display. The machine has 12
different baking programs. See program menu.
Loaf colour
Used to indicate how dark the crust should be: light, medium or dark.
Loaf size
Used to indicate the loaf size according to the recipe. You can choose between a small loaf (1.5 lb =
about 700 g) and a large loaf (2.0 lb = about 900 g).
Start/stop button
Starts, stops or completes the selected baking program.
Starting a program
To start a program, press the start/stop button for about 1 second. A short beep is heard and the two dots
in the timer start flashing. The program starts.
Stopping a program
To stop a program, press the start/stop button for about two seconds until a beep is heard.
ON/OFF

The two dots flash: The program has started.
•
The two dots shine continuously: The program has stopped.
Setting the timer
You can set when the appliance is to start, so that you can have fresh bread at a specific time. You can
then choose to have fresh bread when you get up in the morning, or when you get home from work.
Press the button with the up arrow to increase the time in 10 minute intervals. Press the button with the
down arrow to reduce the time. When you have set the time, press the start/stop button. The dots in the
colon start flashing and the bread will be ready at the required time.
The time shown when the appliance starts automatically is the time remaining until the bread will be
ready. Make sure to set the time correctly. The longest time that can be set is 13 hours.
For example: The time is now 20:30 and you want the bread to be ready in the morning at 07:00, in other
words in 10 hours and 30 minutes. Press the button with the up arrow until 10:30 is shown, because you
want the bread to be ready in 10 hours and 30 minutes. Do not use perishable ingredients, such as eggs
or milk etc., if you are using the timer function.
Keeping the bread warm
The bread is kept warm for 60 minutes after baking. If you want to take out the bread earlier, stop the
program by pressing the start/stop button.
Warning messages
•
If the character display shows H:HH when you press the start button: The temperature in the oven
is too high. Press the stop button. Open the lid and allow the machine to cool for 10 to 20 minutes.

If the character display shows E:EE when you press the start button: The temperature sensor is not
working. The sensor must be checked by an authorised service centre.
