Measuring system

49

Measurement of  caster
Use the wheel alignment gauge AM300/301 and
turn angle gauge AM135.

Right side
Attach wheel alignment gauge AM300/301 on the
spindle of the wheel adapter.

(1) Turn the left wheel 20

°

 outward utilizing the

turn angle gauge.

(2) Place the wheel alignment gauge vertically

using the top bubble and lock with the
bottom knob.

(3) Rotate the measuring scale so that the

measuring bubble shows a horizontal position.

(4) Place the moveable pointer on 0 toward the

inner measuring scale.

(5) Rotate the right front wheel 20

°

 inward utilizing

the turn angle gauge.

Place the wheel alignment gauge level using the top
bubble and lock with the lower knob.

(6) Turn the measuring scale so that the

measuring bubble shows a horizontal position.

(7) Read the caster value at the pointer on the

inner measuring scale in degrees 

°

 and

minutes ´.

Write down the value on the Test Report Sheet.

Note!
When measuring the caster always begin with
turning the wheel 20

°

 OUTWARD on both sides.
