5.5 Releasing the Emergency
wheel
Removing the wheel
In case of a machine emergency stop, the operator
must be able to remove the wheel he/she was working
on when the procedure was stopped.
• To remove the wheel the operator must follow the
instructions below:
•
Set the machine in safe conditions (disconnect the
machine from the power and pneumatic supply
lines).
•
Insert lever (1) in the correct position, see figure
to the side.
•
Insert tool (2) in the dedicated hole of the locking
tool.
•
Rotate lever (1) by approximately one rotation to
release locking force on the tool shaft and remove
the wheel;
•
Rotate cam (3) to release the wheel locking tool.
Should it not be possible to release the tool by rotating
cam (3), loosen cone (4) and knob (5) completely to
slide out the wheel by leaving the tool in position.
