ii. Transport – Unpacking -
Handling
Transport
The machine is crated in a corrugated box of
appropriate strength. The box is mounted on a pallet.
The transport of the packed machine must be made
with an appropriate lifting device (fork lift -
Fig. ii-
1
). The machine can be alternatively mounted on a
pallet with the column assembled. In such a case the
machine must be anchored to the transport mean with
a belt of appropriate strength rolled around the column
(
Fig. ii-2
).
Unpacking
Unpack the machine paying attention when cutting the
plastic straps or during any other operation which may
be hazardous. After removing the box check for any
visible damage to the machine and its components. In
case of doubt call qualified personnel for assistance.
The packing materials (plastic bags, foam polystyrene,
nails, screws, wood etc.) must be properly disposed of.
Place the above-mentioned materials into a trash
container and dispose of according to the local
regulations.
ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES WHEN UNPACKING
THE MACHINE TO PREVENT SCRATCHES OR
ABRASIONS DUE TO CONTACT WITH PACKING
MATERIALS.
Handling
In case the machine is to be moved from one working
place to another, proceed as follows:
Disconnect the machine from the air and power supply
lines.
Remove from top of the machine all objects that may
fall upon handling and create hazard.
Sling the machine as shown in (
Fig. ii-3
). Use belts
with a length of mm 3000 and a capacity of kg 500. Do
not use metal ropes to lift the machine.
