instructions on how to carry out calibration for
maintenance purposes, refer to the calibration
instructions in the maintenance section of this
manual.
The low output can be set to a minimum number
of 0. The maximum number which can be set is
one digit less than the number set for the high
output (Screen 22).
Press the touch pad with the down arrow to
proceed to the next screen.
Screen 26 TACH LOW INPUT
This screen allows the low input from the tach-
generator to be set by turning the adjust knob to
increase or decrease the value.
The low input represents the minimum DC input
voltage which is transmitted to the control from
the tach-generator on the wire feed motor. If
your wire feeder is fitted with a tach-generator,
the low input number has been predetermined
during the system’s calibration routine at the
factory prior to shipment.
You may desire to check the calibration of your
system on a regular basis. For detailed instruc-
tions on how to carry out calibration for main-
tenance and touch-up purposes, please refer to
the calibration instructions in the maintenance
section of this manual.
The low input can be set to a minimum number
of 0. The maximum number which can be set
is one digit less than the number set for the tach
high input (Screen 23).
Press the touch pad with the down arrow to
proceed to the next screen.

Screen 27 SET SPEED
This screen permits the setting of the wire feed
speed to be either
Local
or
Remote
. If the
control is set to
Local
, speed will be set using
the adjust knob on the front of the control. If
the control is set to
Remote
, the speed is set
by a remote device. In this case, the 9629 R1
control accepts an analog signal from the remote
controller and, through a calibration procedure,
converts it into a required wire feed speed.
The remote feature would be used where the
control is being used in conjunction with a re-
mote PLC control or similar device.
If the control is set to
Local
, the system will
proceed to Screen 30.
Press the scroll down arrow to proceed to the
next screen.
Screen 28 REMOTE HIGH INPUT
The Remote High Input value represents the DC
reference voltage value received by the control
from a remote voltage source that is adjusted to
the High Limit speed (maximum allowed wire
feed speed). This number can be changed by
turning the adjust knob to increase or decrease
its value. Changing this number will change the
Wire Feed Speed display reading when adjusting
the wire feed speed to the high limit using the
remote pendant or voltage source.
The remote high input can be set to a maximum
number of 1023. The minimum number which
can be set is 1 digit more than the number which
is entered for the remote low input (Screen
29).
Press the scroll down arrow to proceed to the
next screen.
