NOTE:
If the displayed address is not the desired
address, you can either press the BACK button to step
back to the previous screens, press the NAV button to
cancel the destination input.
8. You may select the Options button to get a list of
additional options or select GO button and press the
JOYSTICK to start the route guidance.
In the Options menu you can:
•
Cancel the destination input.
•
Show the entire route on the map.
•
Make a route choice (alternative route).
•
Avoid freeways, toll roads, tunnels, or ferries.
•
Save the destination to the favorite places folder, to the
address book, to the My Trips folder, or as Home
address.
•
Simulate the route.
Destination by Point of Interest
A point of interest (POI) can be found in different ways.
Close to the current vehicle position (POI Local Area),
close to the currently active destination (Nearby Destina-
tion), within the map database (POI in Map Area), by POI
name, by phone number, and within a city.
Input POI Place Name
For this example we will continue by entering Devils
Tower National Monument a tourist attraction for a
vacation.
1. Select the Point of Interest function in the Destination
Entry screen.
