the surface using a hair dryer or heat gun,
and carefully pull the decal to separate it from
the sidewall. Use caution to avoid overheating
the area and risking damage to the fiberglass.
Concentrate on small areas at a time. Once
the decal is off, remove all traces of adhesive
with 3M Adhesive Cleaner. When the
adhesive is eliminated, wipe the area with
denatured alcohol to neutralize the adhesive
cleaner.
When applying new decals, air and sidewall
temperature must be above 45°F. Position the
application area away from direct sun, high
heat and wind. Make a final check to confirm
the surface is clean and completely dry. With
masking tape, attach the decal to the surface
before removing backing to confirm
placement. Mark each location with small
pieces of masking tape along the edge of the
top, and at least one side. Starting at one
end, slowly remove backing and attach the
decal. Use caution to avoid wrinkling the
decal, or creating creases and cuts. Run a
rubber squeegee over the decal to remove air
pockets that can cause bubbling.
In the event a misstep occurs, remove the
decal as quickly as possible before adhesive
has time to set. If the decal was just applied, it
may be possible to remove simply by lifting
one edge and gently pulling.

INDOWS
Any ventilating window may permit water
inside, especially during heavy rainstorms.
Condensation will also cause water to
accumulate on windows and in the tracks.
The window “glass” can normally be cleaned
with a sponge and water. Use glass cleaner
to remove wax, oil, grease, dead insects, etc.
After washing the glass, wipe it dry with a
clean, soft cloth.

Locks on entrance and baggage doors need
biannual lubrication using a light coat of
silicone spray. Conditions such as rain, salt,
dust and pollution may increase the
maintenance needs.

Your RV may be equipped with an optional
roof ladder. The RV roof has plywood decking
under the rubber roof membrane to allow you
to walk on the roof (with caution) to do
maintenance.

Keeping the roof clean will extend the life of
sealants, promote proper operation of roof top
components and eliminate black streaks that
run down the sidewalls. For best results,
clean the roof at least four times annually.
Safety is imperative. If health conditions exist,
or heights create dizziness, hire someone to
maintain the roof. Refrain from overloading
the rear ladder and wear clean soft sole
shoes with a rubber grip to reduce slippage.
Perform this task early, before the heat of the
day.
Tools you will need to clean the roof include a
broom, dust pan, debris bucket, sponge mop,
bucket of mild soap and a garden hose with
an on demand spray gun. Some products are
available to remove stubborn stains. Carefully
read product labels to be sure it is safe for the
RV surface, and always test the cleaner in a
small area first to determine suitability.
Start by sweeping the surface with a broom to
remove leaves, tree branches and loose dirt.
Deposit debris into the dry bucket and remove
the broom, dustpan and bucket from the roof.
Wash the roof surface in sections, beginning
at the front of the RV. Wet the surface with a
hose and wash using the mop soaked in
soapy water. Rinse the mop often to remove
dirt and thoroughly rinse each area with clear
water. If grime build up is excessive, it may be
necessary to carefully use a pressure washer
If your RV is equipped with a roof ladder,
do not leave items attached to it while
traveling. The ladder has a weight limit of
350# when using it to access the roof. DO
NOT exceed this weight limit.
