to clean the roof surface. Use mild soap and a
hose on the solar panels and satellite dome.
Avoid a direct stream of water into the air
conditioner shroud. Once finished, remove all
cleaning tools and allow the surface to
thoroughly dry.
To eliminate roof grime from drying on the
sidewalls, follow by washing the RV exterior.
If time does not permit a complete cleaning,
be sure to at least thoroughly rinse away all
roof run off with clear water.
The rubber roof has specific care instructions.
Read and follow the vendor instructions for
your RV. If you have any questions, contact
your dealer or Entegra Customer Service for
assistance.

ENTS
While you are cleaning the roof perform a
close inspection of all roof top components
including the solar panel, air conditioner
shroud, antennas and vent caps. Tighten
loose screws, and replace any bolts or screws
that are corroded, stripped or missing.
Remove the air conditioning shrouds to check
for insect or bird nests around the blade
areas. Inspect the refrigerator and holding
tank vents for blockages from bird nests,
spider webs, leaves, etc.
Keep the water heater, furnace and
refrigerator exterior sidewall compartment
doors clean and free of obstructions (i.e.,
insect nests, mud daubers, etc.).
S
EALANTS
Sealants perform a very important function;
they must be inspected closely and be
regularly maintained. In general, sealants do
not have “set” lifetimes. Varying
environmental factors affect the pliability and
adhesiveness of sealants. Sealants can be
affected by ultraviolet exposure, air pollution,
extreme temperatures and exposure to other
elements. Conditions such as rain, salt, dust
and pollution can increase the need to
replace the sealants. Checking the sealants is
considered customer maintenance.
Water is a RV’s worst enemy when it enters
where it is not intended. If you notice water
inside the RV, immediately have the dealer
check for the source of the leak. Failure to
correct the leak may result in serious damage
to your RV; this damage may not be
warrantable.
Inspecting the sealants
At least once every three months, carefully
inspect roof seals. Make sure to check the
roof and all four sides of the RV including all
moldings, windows, doors, vents and all
exterior attachments. Reseal as necessary
and at least one time each year as
preventative maintenance.
•
Replace sealant and cap seal if you notice
any cracks, gaps, lifting, looseness,
peeling, shrinkage, voids or any sign of
physical deterioration. Only replace the
sealant after the roof is clean and dry, and
when outdoor weather conditions are
favorable or the RV is parked inside.
•
Remove all old sealant before applying
new, and allow the sealant to completely
dry. To assure proper placement, do not
tow the RV for 24 hours after applying
sealant to allow adhesive time to
adequately set. Complete your repairs
immediately to prevent damage to your
RV.
To check the exterior sidewall sealants,
use a stepladder placed safely beside the
RV. Do not prop a ladder against the body
of the RV as it may damage the finish.
Failure to properly maintain or reseal your
RV may result in serious water damage to
the roof and other parts of the RV. This
damage is not warrantable.
