The power cord should unplugged when
the RV is left unattended for any amount of
time. If something would happen to the
electrical system, this may help limit
potential damage.
Ready to leave
When you are ready to leave, reverse the
power cord connection process. Be sure to
close the electrical cable hatch to prevent
water leaks.
Maintenance
Inspect the power cord for cuts, cracks and
worn insulation. Have the cord replaced
immediately if these symptoms are noticed.
C
ONVERTER
The converter converts 120-volt AC power to
useable 12-volt DC power when the power
cord is connected to campground power.
Limited battery charging function
(excludes J/Trax models)
If so equipped, the converter may also function
as a limited battery charger when power to run
120-volt lights and accessories is below the
converter maximum output rating. The
converter will automatically sense the
condition of the auxiliary battery and, if it is
below “full charge,” will begin charging. The
rate of charge will decrease as the auxiliary
battery reaches “full charge,” and the
converter will remain “trickle” charging at a
very low amperage rating. If your auxiliary
battery does not charge as described above, it
is possible it has been fully discharged or is
defective. If it is determined to be defective,
contact the battery manufacturer for further
instructions.

SECTION 3
ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
WARNING
PLUG INTO 30-AMP SERVICE ONLY
.
0
Do not hook up the 30 amp external
power cord to any receptacle until you
have contacted the campground owner
and/or attendant of the premises to
verify proper polarity and grounding.
Polarity indicators can be purchased in
most electrical and hardware stores.
0
Do not use any cheater plug, adapter or
extension cord to reduce incoming AC
power or break the continuity of the
circuit connected to the grounding pin.
0
Do not connect the power cord into an
outlet that is not grounded, or adapt the
30-amp power cord plug to connect it to
a receptacle for which it is not
designed.
0
Do not
remove the grounding pin to
connect to a non-grounded receptacle.
Removal of the ground pin disables an
important safety feature designed to
prevent shock and electrocution
hazards.
0
Do not connect the power cord to an
extension cord. Use of an improper
extension cord will cause overheating
of the cord as well as potentially
causing premature failure of the AC
equipment.
It is the responsibility of the owner of the
electrical receptacle to ensure that the
receptacle is properly wired and grounded.
Reverse polarity and/or improper
grounding of your RV can cause personal
injury or death.
WARNING
The power cord must be fully extended
when in use and not left coiled in the
electrical compartment or on the ground. If
the power cord is left coiled, it may
potentially create enough heat to melt its
protective casing.
WARNING
Never leave your camping trailer plugged
into the 120-volt AC outlet while it is folded
down. This would make the converter
continue to run, which can cause
overheating and present a fire hazard.
