6.2.1 Transmission specification
The transmission specification of the serial control method is as follows:
- Transmission line
specification
: EIA RS-422 (When a transducer
is used RS-232C is also available.)
- Transmission rate
: 1200 baud (No voice signals are superimposed.)
200 baud (Voice signals are superimposed.)
- Voice signal bandwidth
For a transmission
rate of 1200 baud
: No voice signals can be superimposed.
For a transmission
rate of 200 baud
: 0.3 to 2.7 kHz available
- Parity
: Odd parity
- Stop bit
: 2 bits
- Transmission method
: A 4-byte control or a 4-byte monitor item is
transmitted repeatedly.
6.2.2 Transmission format (memory channel mode)
Details of a 4-byte control or a 4-byte monitor item are as follows:
1) First byte

The bits have the following meanings.
Bit 7 : 0: This bit indicates the first byte.
Bit 6 : 0: This bit indicates the first byte.
Bit 5 : Transmitter output control
(0: Rated output, 1: Reduced output)
Bit 4 : Presence or absence of receiving signal
(0: No receiving signal, 1: receiving signal)
Bit 3 : Classification of remote control or local control
(0: Local control, 1: Remote control)
Bit 2 : PTT(Press to talk) control
(0: Reception, 1: Transmission)
Bit 1 : Squelch control
(0: Squelch OFF. 1: Squelch ON)
Bit 0 : Power supply control
(0: Power OFF, 1: Power ON)
