Connecting the Black Cat II Plus Radar 

to Your Computer – Hardwire Ethernet

The Power over Ethernet (PoE) port of the Black Cat II Plus can be used 

to connect your Radar directly to a local network.

To do this, plug an Ethernet cable into the PoE port of the Black Cat.

To connect to your computer using the Ethernet connection, your Black 

Cat must have an IP address assigned to it. For a PoE connection, this 

would typically be assigned by your IT or network administrator. When 

connecting to the Black Cat you will then use the 

Remote Site

 selec-

tion in the STARnext software, as described in the next section of this 

manual.
