3.3 Trigger/Digital output
The functionality of each individual output can be defined via the FPGA register
“MPC866 Trigger Control Register”. Two different modes of operation can be
selected:
The Trigger mode is used for analysis and measurement of the real-time behavior
of the buses. Trigger conditions can be set via the software. When the configured
trigger condition is fulfilled, a voltage pulse appears on the trigger output. This
voltage pulse is generated in the device with an optocoupler and a transistor
output (see Fig. 3-9) and can be made visible, for example, with an oscilloscope.
