■ Plumbing
1. Have tubing length shortest with the minimum
number of bends in order to reduce pipe resist-
ance.
2. The inlet and outlet ports should be completely
sealed for the prevention of air ingress into a flow
line. Especially, an imperfect suction line connec-
tion entrains air and reduces performance.
3. Select tubes in accordance with an inlet and an
outlet bore.
A tube should be resistant to both the specified
pressure and the specified liquid.
■ Wiring
Check power-supply voltage and the rated voltage
of the pump motor before wiring. Observe an appli-
cable electric code.
■ Earthing
Remove one of fitting screws on the motor mount-
ing flange and the paint under the screw for con-
necting an earth wire.
