Electric chain saw

EN

Saw Rebound

Saw  rebound  can  happen  when  guide  bar  (7)

touches sawn material or when the chain is blocked

causing  the  uplift  and  impact  of  the  saw  to  rise

suddenly in the opposite direction.

When the rebound

affect  occurs,  the

machine  reacts  in

this  unexpected

manner,

often

causing

serious

injury to the person

using  the  saw  or

other

people

nearby.

When

conducting  side,  oblique  and  lateral  cuts,  special

care should be taken to ensure that the notched rest

(8) are not caught in these situations.

To Avoid Saw Rebound:

Apply the machine as evenly as possible to the

•

surface.

Never work with a loose or worn chain.

•

Sharpen the chain according to the instructions.

•

Never saw above shoulder height.

•

Never  saw  with  the  upper  edge  or  the  end  of

•

guide bar (7).

Always firmly hold the machine with two hands.

•

Use notched rest (8) as a lever.

•

Pay attention to correct chain tension.

•

Preparation

It  is  necessary  to  carry  out  the  following  checks

before use and regularly during sawing:

The machine must be in working order

•

The oil reservoir must be full. The oil level should

•

be checked by looking through window (13) before

and  regularly  during  the  work.  If  the  level  of  oil

reaches the lower edge of the viewing window, the

oil  needs  to  be  topped  up.  One  check  suffices  for

approximately  15  minutes  of  work  (depending  on

the intervals and intensity of the work).

The chain must be correctly tensioned and sharp.

•

Chain tension should be checked every 10 minutes

during use. Special attention should be paid to new

chains, which often require tightening.

The chain brake initiator must be intact.

•

You must use the correct protective clothing.

•

General Recommendations

The machine should always be held firmly with

•

both hands, the left

hand  should  hold

the front handle and

the  right  hand,  the

back  handle.  The

fingers

should

constantly  encircle

the  grip.  Under  no

circumstances should the operator work with only

one hand. The mains cable should always be behind

the operator, out of the way of the saw chain and

the material to be cut.

The  machine

•

should only be used

under

reliable

support  conditions.

The  machine  should

be  held  to  the  right

of  the  body,  slightly

distanced therefrom.

The  chain  needs  to  be  moving  at  full  speed

•

before  coming  into  contact  with  the  wood. When

this has been achieved, the machine should be fixed

to the wood using notched rest (8). During cutting

this support should be used as a lever.

When  cutting  thick  trunks  or  branches  the

•

notched  rest  should  be  repositioned.  To  do  this,

the machine should be inclined backwards in order

to  release  the  notched  rest  and  allow  it  to  move

downwards. The  machine  should  not  be  removed

from the cut to do this.

Do  not  apply  intense  pressure  to  the  chain

•

during cut- ting. Allow the chain to work freely, only

lightly applying pressure, using notched rest (8) as

a lever.

Never use machine with outstretched arms. Do

•

not attempt to cut in difficult areas or standing on

a  tree.  Under  no  circumstances  should  work  be

carried out above shoulder level.

Optimum cutting results are achieved when the

•

speed of rotation of the chain is not reduced after

overload.

Be careful at the final stage of cutting. When the

•

machine has just completed the cut, an unexpected

gravity  increase  effect  is  produced  causing  the

danger of injury to feet and legs.

The machine should be taken out of the cut only

•

if the chain is moving.
