Install the condenser holder and/or electric panel in a sheltered position, well protected from the
weather; observe the limits specified in chapter 4.1
When the hydraulic and electrical connections are in place, you should place some clean sand around
the basin to minimize any movements generated by the system and/or the surrounding ground.
For further information, refer to chapter 12.

Directions for installers
6.1 Hydraulic connection
The hydraulic connections must be performed by a qualified installer in compliance with current
regulations.
The cover/s for the lifting station are screw down type.
6.1.1 Preparing the holes for the pipes
The SINGLEBOX – DOUBLEBOX lifting stations feature a variety of inlets and outlets for the pipes. The
station comes with the vertical outlet pre-connected to the electric pump by means of PVC pipe fittings
(2”) or a drop device (2”), whereas the various inlets (which must be breached) are closed. They can be
breached using a hammer, if the external diameter of the pipe matches the maximum diameter of the
hole, or using a drill with a socket bit to create smaller diameter holes.
If you need to install a manual diaphragm pump for emergency drainage, use the blind hole.
For further information, refer to chapter 12.
6.1.2 Laying and connecting the pipes
Connect the outlet pipe to the pipe that connects to the public/private sewer. We recommend that you in-
stall check valves and on-off valves. Depending on the type of installation and on local regulations, it
may be necessary to install a trap on the pipe that connects to the public/private sewer.
Anchor all the pipes so that their weight does not rest on lifting station. If necessary, provide suitable
means to prevent the transmission of vibrations, and protect the pipes from icing. Seal the holes in the
walls of the basin through which the pipes pass to prevent the release of offensive odours.
Always refer to the codes, regulations and standards locally in force.
6.2 Electrical connection
The electrical connections must be executed by a qualified installer in compliance with current
electrical codes.
Make sure that the type of power mains, voltage and frequency match the panel and motor
ratings shown in the rating plate. Provide suitable general protection against short circuits on the
electrical power line.
Before proceeding with any operations, make sure that all the connections (even those that are
potential-free) are voltage-free.
The power supply line must be equipped with the following devices (unless otherwise specified by local
regulations):
• A protection against short circuits
• A high sensitivity (30mA) differential device (circuit breaker) as additional protection against electric
shock in the event of inefficient grounding.
• A mains disconnection device with opening distance between contacts of at least 3 millimeters.
Ground the system in compliance with current regulations.
First, connect the protection conductor external to the PE terminal; make sure it is longer than the phase
conductors. Select the conductors (gauge, coating material, etc.) based on actual operating conditions.
