7. INITIAL START-UP PROCEDURES AND SPA COVER
BASKET LIFTER
DO NOT TURN ON THE POWER TO THE SPA WHEN THE SPA IS PARTIALLY FILLED OR EMPTY
1) Ensure the circuit breaker to the spa is off
2) Rotate all the jets in the spa to a clockwise—fully open position Executed in FACTORY
3) If the spa is equipped with valves
(a handle located near the jet pumps),
ensure the handle is open.
Spas with 1 pump will include 2 valves and
spas with 2 pumps will include 2 valves.
Note: a circulation pump will include 2 valves.
The valves are in open position upon delivery see picture.
4) How to open and close the door to pump area
5) To prevent the possibility of leakage in the equipment bay, ensure the pump unions are tight.
6) Close and cap the hose bib. This is used for draining the spa

lifter up a little then pull out the door
