Make sure the ScreenPlay TV Link DX is connected to power and turned on. The
indicator light glows solid blue when the ScreenPlay TV Link DX is powered up.
z
Make sure you have selected the correct video input on your TV to display output from
the ScreenPlay TV Link DX.
z
The video output setting on the ScreenPlay might not be correct for your TV. See
Settings > Audio/Video > Video Output
for more information.

No audio output
z
Check the audio cable connection between the ScreenPlay TV Link DX and the TV. The
ScreenPlay TV Link DX can be connected to right/left RCA connectors on the TV using
the red and white connectors on the included composite cable. You can also connect
the ScreenPlay TV Link DX to an AV amplifier (receiver) using an optical audio cable
(not included). If you are using a composite RCA connection, be sure you have
connected to audio
input
on the TV set. If you are using an HDMI connection, it
includes both video and audio.
NOTE:
Some TV sets are equipped with separate composite and component audio
inputs. Be sure that you have connected the correct one. See
Connecting to a TV
for
instructions.

Check the audio output setting under the
Audio/Video
options on the Settings page. If
the ScreenPlay is connected to an AV amplifier using an optical audio cable, select
Digital
for the audio output.
z
Check the volume setting on the TV or AV amplifier. You will not be able to hear audio
if the volume is too low. Try pressing the volume increase button on the ScreenPlay TV
Link DX remote control.
z
The ScreenPlay TV Link DX might be using the wrong audio channel. Press the Option
button and select
Audio channel
. Press Enter to select an available audio channel. If
more than one channel is available, press Enter again to toggle the channel.

TV does not have RCA jacks
Try connecting your ScreenPlay TV Link DX through an RF Modulator. You can also use the
optical audio connector
on the ScreenPlay TV Link DX to connect to an AV amplifier (receiver)
with a digital audio decoder (optical audio cable not included).
NOTE:
Do not connect the ScreenPlay TV Link DX through a VCR. Video signals fed through a
VCR may be affected by copyright protection systems and the picture will be distorted on the
television.
