Setting Up General Properties
The following illustration shows the general section of the
Channel properties dialog box.

To set up general channel properties, do the following:
1.
In the
Name
field, identify the name of the channel
being set up.
2.
In the
Comment
field, enter optional comments or
relevant information.
3.
Check either or both the
Outgoing
and
Incoming
fields
to specify the use of the channel. A channel can be used
for outgoing calls only, for incoming calls only, or for
outgoing and incoming calls.
4.
In the
Idle timeout
field, set the channel inactivity timer
by entering the length of time after which to
automatically disconnect the channel due to inactivity.
Or to disable the inactivity counter, enter
0
.
If the inactivity counter is disabled, only the remote peer
or local user intervention can disconnect the channel.
