Intermec EasyCoder 201 II – Technical Manual

The Parallel Interface Board adds one extra parallel communication
port ("centronics:") to the standard serial communication port
("uart1:").

The Parallel Interface Board may either be bought separately as a
kit complete with installation instructions, or be factory installed.

The following types of interfaces can be selected:

"uart1:"

Fitted on printer's CPU pcb.

RS 232C

Standard

20 mA Current Loop

Option. Additional opto-couplers required.

"centronics:"

Fitted on Parallel interface pcb.

Centronics parallel interface only.

The setup is in no way affected by the Parallel Interface Board, since
the Centronics interface does not require any communication setup
or uses any buffers.
