Chapter 6 Troubleshooting
Creating the HS data.
Caution:
1. Prior to creating HS data (output test chart), print out “NOZZLE CHECK
PATTERN” and “NOZZLE ADJUSTMENT PATTERN”, and make sure
that nozzles are ejecting without non-fire or misalignment and registration
is precisely adjusted. When it does not meet the requirements, remove non-
fire or misalignment in accordance with Chapter 6.7 Image Troubleshooting
and adjust registration precisely in accordance with Chapter 6.3 Test Print
before creating the data.
2. Use larger-sized paper than 100mm x 76mm of matt-coated/tag/TOF paper.
3. Re-create the new HS data, when replacing BJ line heads and adjusting
horizontal registration.

Output the Test Chart.
1. Connect personal computer, image scanner and Printer and
switch on for each.
2. Set paper (matt-finished) on printer.
3. Get “Windows ”for HS up and running to get the HS utility
software up and running by double-clicking “HS_UTILE.EXE”
in the Explorer.
When executing the HS on the personal computer in which the
HS data already exists, “HS file already exists” appears in the
display in the “Checking continuity of HS utilities”.
When clicking “New”, confirmation message to delete existing
file appears in the display and the file is deleted by clicking
“OK”.
When clicking “Continue”, continue the process with the HS file
stored.
