4.2 Unpacking and Installation, cont'd.

4.2:B Installation (roll type)

Inspection/Remarks

Check that the covers are free from scratches
and deformation caused during transportation.

Keep the recovery unit packing for use when the
machine is being transported, etc.

Caution:
If the green lever is not depressed, the ink may
spout out of the tube station.

Procedure

Peel off the tape holding down each section of the machine.

Open the PHS unit and remove the recovery unit packing (1).
Do not remove the taped lint-free towels (2).

Opening the breather opening/closing valve:
Remove the tape and tag from the sub cover at the back of the main
unit and push down the green opening/closing arm.
Install the sub cover

Detaching the PHS cover:
Remove two screws (1) of the PHS cover and detach the PHS cover
(2).
