Using HP Administration Tools to Manage and Configure
the Ethernet Adapter
The Ethernet adapter is fully compatible with the HP JetAdmin and the HP Web
JetAdmin printer management software. This means that you may use either tool to
install and configure your printer devices via your Ethernet adapter. You can also use
them to monitor the current status of your Ethernet adapter and other JetAdmin- or Web
JetAdmin-compatible devices connected to your network.
Please refer to the appropriate Hewlett Packard documentation for further details about
these tools.
You can disable the HP JetAdmin and the HP Web JetAdmin support by setting the
HP_JETADMIN parameter to NO.
Note: It is not possible to update the Ethernet adapter’s Flash Memory from within HP
JetAdmin.
Using Other NetWare Configuration Methods
After installing the Ethernet adapter into the NetWare environment using the AXIS
NetPilot, you can adjust the configuration at any time using the AXIS NetPilot.
Alternatively, you may want to manage your Ethernet adapter using either Novell’s
NetWare Administrator or PCONSOLE.
This section describes the following features provided by the NetWare Administrator:

Printer Status
The NetWare dialog Printer Status menu shows the status of an active print job serviced
by an Ethernet adapter. Detailed information concerning the active job appears
including Print Queue, print job description, size of print file, and percentage of job
completed. The administrator can also abort or pause the print job from this menu.
