Using DMI Console
The Desktop Management Interface (DMI) is a technology standard that enables the effective
management of personal computers (PCs). The InterSite DMI Console is software that
provides easy-to-use access to the information embedded in a DMI-enabled PC.
The InterSite DMI Console gives easy access to the server’s status and configuration
information through a window containing a graphical information tree view pane, a service
provider component information pane, and a message pane.
See DMI Console Help for more information on using DMI Console.
Using the ECC Memory Monitoring Utility
The ECC Memory Monitoring Utility systematically records errors to the Windows NT
Event Log and stores the error counts in the Windows NT Registry. Alerting features
include the ability to poll memory at user-specified intervals, thus warning of a potential
Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) failure.
Your system hardware can correct single-bit errors. The ECCMEM driver polls a memory
control register once every minute to determine if the hardware corrected a single-bit error.
If the hardware corrected an error, the ECCMEM driver reports the location of the DIMM.
If the driver reports many ECC errors, you should replace the DIMM. See the online System
Reference for details on replacing DIMMs. The ECCMEM driver reports errors to the ECC
Memory Configuration interface and Windows NT Event Log only when more than one
error occurs in a 28-day period.
See the ECC Memory Monitoring Utility Help for more information on using the utility.
