6.4 Hard drive option

Note:

For proper cooling, do not operate the server without the access panel, baffles,

expansion slot covers, or blanks installed. If the server supports hot-plug components,
minimize the amount of time the access panel is open.

Determine the status of the hard disk drive from the hot-plug hard drive LED.

Back up all server data on the hard disk drive.

Remove the hard disk drive.

Step 1: Press the hard drive panel button.

Step 2: The lever on the hard drive tray pops out automatically. Remove the hard drive tray
outward in horizontal direction.
