sensitive characters

SPECIAL COMMANDS
COMMAND
ACTION
(Enter)
or Help
Typing Help+Enter (or simply ‘Enter’) brings up a list of
numbered encoder memory categories. Any number typed
then displays the encoder settings for that group.
(HDR)?
Typing any header and ‘?’ returns the status of the
encoder memory for that specific parameter; e.g.: DI?
shows the Decoder Information setting.
??
Typing ‘??’ returns all settings in encoder memory. This may
be ‘too much information’ at one time. Typing 1, 2, 3, and
4 bring up sub-categories with fewer listings in each.
REV
Returns the firmware revision number.
SAVE
Transfers all settings from RAM to non-volatile EEPROM. This is auto-
matic with all settings except for DPS= , TEXT= , and RTP= .
RESET
A ‘soft’ reset, as if AC power is cycled off and back on.
INIT
Deletes all user information from memory and
resets the encoder to factory defaults.
LOG
Returns statistics on how many times certain commands have been
sent to the encoder since the last time the LOG was cleared.
LOGCLR
Resets the LOG counter.
RESPONSES
RESPONSE
MEANING
OK
The command received was properly formatted
and was received and executed by the encoder.
NO
Incoming data is not properly formatted and hence
was not accepted and executed by the encoder.
(none)
Data that has been sent either has not reached the encoder or the
encoder has no response for that command. Also, the encoder
may be set for ECHO=2 to inhibit its response to commands.
