Section R - Honda Engine Mounting (Assembly)

Page 41

Insert the wet end into the drive

end in a straight line.

Insert the (4) socket head cap

screws connecting the adapter to

the wet end. Torque to 20 ft-lbs

(27 N.m).

Tighten this set screw (A) with the

T-handle hex key.

Rotate the outer magnet and mo-

tor shaft until the row of dowel

pins and shaft groove point down.

Slide the outer magnet assembly

onto the motor shaft.

The first set screw (A) directly

opposite the row of dowel pins

should be visible through the top

adapter hole.

Locate the second set screw on

the on the outer magnet assem-

bly.

Tighten this set screw (B).

Using a ruler or other straight-

edge, align the outer magnet as-

sembly alignment groove with the

top edge of the adapter.

Grab the opposite side of the out-

er magnet assembly and rotate it

90 degrees counter-clockwise.
