Section N - Drive End Disassembly (NEMA)

Remove the metal pipe plug from 

the top of the adapter.

Locate the (2) set screws on the 

on the outer magnet assembly.

Adjustable wrench

3/16” (NEMA) or 5mm 

(IEC)  T-handle hex key

8mm or 5/16” hex key

1/2”-13 Jackscrew 

Jackscrew plate with (2) 

screws (IEC only)

Remove the top (4) adapter sock-

et head cap screws.

Loosen  the  first  set  screw  then 

rotate  the  outer  magnet  assem-

bly 90

o 

 and loosen the second set 

screw.

Lift  the  wet  end  straight  up  and 

remove. 

Pull  the  outer  magnet  assembly 

straight up and remove.

Drive end disassembly is not nor-

mally required. Under normal cir-

cumstances  a  visual  inspection 

and wiping clean the inside of the 

outer magnet is sufficient.

Note

Wipe the inside of the outer mag-

net  assembly  clean  with  a  shop 

towel.
