In this example, we need to trim 

the impeller to 5.00”.

Place the trimming sleeve over the 

impeller  to  protect  it  from  dam-

age.

Set the trim 1/4” less then the cur-

rent diameter. If you are not expe-

rienced with the material, then we 

recommend only cutting 1/8” at a 

time. 

Trim  the  first  layer  at  a  slow 

speed.

Use  the  X-acto  knife  to  clean  off 

the loose plastic on the impeller in 

order to get an accurate measure-

ment

Check the diameter again with the 

caliper.
