KDDIのIOR、PORの場合はKDDIオペレータが、
海上保安庁へ接続。
In the case of KDDI's IOR or POR LES, the KDDI operator will connect you with
the Maritime Safety Agency in Japan.
VDBのスイッチランプが点滅。

The switch lamp will flash. The telephone will begin a
continuous ring.
* Switch lamp will be lit for 60 seconds.
連続発信音が聞こえる。
発信を中止するときは30秒以内に
受話器を元に戻します。注2）
You will hear a continuous transmission signal
tone. When you cancel the transmission, please
replace the receiver within 30 seconds. (See Note 2)
ダイヤル開始時に連続発信音は停止、
相手先の呼び出し音が聞こえる。
When dialing commences, the continuous
transmission signal tone will be canceled,
and you will hear the call tone.
回線切断後15秒間、 または何かキーを
押すまで通話時間を表示。HH:MM:SS

15 seconds after terminating the circuit and until
you press some key, the length of the

本船のIMN番号、航行海域、船名、識別
番号、現在の経度、緯度、スピード、コース、
遭難状態、救助要請の有無、他の情報
IMN number, current ocean region, ship name, ID number,
current position (longitude, latitude), speed, course, state
of distress, whether rescue/assistance is desired, and other
information regarding the ship in distress.

注1）60秒間受話器を取らなければ、遭難警報は解除されベルは止まります。
注2）受話器を取ってから30秒以内にダイヤルを終了させてください。30秒以内にダイヤルが終了しないと、
その時点までに押された電話番号（何も押されていない場合は電話番号無） で自動的に遭難信号が
発信されます。
Note 1: If the receiver is not picked up within 60 seconds, the distress call will be canceled and the bell will stop ringing.
Note 2: Please complete dialing within 30 seconds after picking up the handset. If dialing is not completed within 30
seconds, the distress call will be automatically sent to the number that has been entered up to that point in time
(if nothing is entered, the telephone number is invalid.)

Note 2: When the "#" key is pressed, the distress call is automatically sent. In the case of Japan, just dial "003#",
the shore station ID number for the KDDI's LES, and you will be connected to a KDDI Operator
(communications officer) who will relay the distress call to the appropriate maritime rescue
organization (in the case of KDDI, the Maritime Safety Agency.)
遭難通話概略手順
（遭難電話発信箱（VDB）から送出の場合、KDDI（IOR, POR, AOR-E/W）の海岸地球局経由の場合）
Procedure for Relay of Distress Calls
(Transmission Using VDB (Voice Distress Button), relay via KDDI's LES(IOR, POR, AOR-E/W) )

VDBのスイッチカバーを開けてスイッチ
を押す。
Open the cover to the VDB and press the switch.

VDBのスイッチを離す。
Release the VDB switch.

受話器を取る。
Pick up the handset.
注1） 受話器を取らないで発信する時（オンフックダイヤル） は
SENDキーを押します。 ）
(Note1: When you wish to send without picking up the receiver, i.e., on-hook
dialing, please press the SEND key.

受話器を取り＃キーを押す。
Pick up the handset and press the "#" key.
（または、15秒以内に00（自動接続番号） 、海難救助機関の
国番号、地域番号及び加入者番号と＃キーを押します。 ）
(Or within 15 seconds, press "00" (Auto Connect ID), and the country code,
shore station code and telephone number of the marine safety organization,
followed by the "#" key.)
約6秒間、VDBのスイッチを押し続ける。
Hold the VDB switch down for about 6 seconds.

通話を終了する。
End communication.
（受話器を元に戻すか、またはENDキーを押します。 ）
Replace the handset or press the END key.
