Power Off Procedure
If you wish to power down the subsystem, please follow these steps:
NOTE:
If you wish to power down the subsystem, please make sure that no time-
consuming processes, like a “logical drive parity” check or a “background
scrub,” are running.
Step 1.
Stop I/O access to the system.
Close your applications to stop all IO accesses to the
subsystem. Please refer to the documentation that came
with your applications.
Step 2.
Flush the cache.
Locate the C_Dirty LED on the controller module to check
if there is still cached data in memory. Use the
Shutdown
Controller
function to flush all cached data. This prepares
the RAID subsystem to be safely powered down.
Step 3.
Turn off the power.
Once the subsystem has been powered down, other
enclosures attached to the subsystem may be sequentially
powered down.
