After the selection of the Slave to be tested the operation
dialogue is launched and the DP Master starts the DP State-
Machine to get the Slave into operation.
The actual communication state of the Slave is displayed in
the last line of the display.
Possible messages:
•
"
no response
"
There is no response from the selected Slave (e.g. the
PROFIBUS address is wrong or the Slave is
disconnected)
•
"
in operation
"
The Slave is working properly, input and output data
are transferred.
•
"
in operation !
"
The Slave is working properly and reports external
diagnostic data. By selecting the menu

the diagnostic data can be read from
the Slave and the '
!
' in the display is reset.
•
Other messages
The Slave is connected to the bus but the param- or
config-data are not correct and the Slave cannot be set
into “in operation” state.
If the Slave reaches the state “in operation“ output data can be
modified and input data can be displayed.
