lich. Der schnelle Vor- bzw. Rücklauf ist hörbar.
14 CUE-TASTE, wenn eine laufende CD mit der
START/PAUSE-Taste (5) auf Pause geschaltet
wurde, dann kann mit der CUE-Taste ein
‘Scratch’-Effekt erzeugt werden. Das erste Be-
tätigen schaltet die Funkton ein, die CUE-
Anzeige leuchtet. Nochmaliges Betätigen schal-
tet die Funktion und die Anzeige wieder ab.
15 ZEITTASTE, bei einmaliger Betätigung dieser
Taste wird die verbleibende Zeit des jeweiligen
Stückes der eingelegten CD angezeigt. Bei zwei-
maliger Betätigung dieser Taste wird die verblei-
bende Gesamtzeit der eingelegten CD angezeigt
(ausgenommen bei Programmier-Betrieb). Bei
nochmaligem Betätigen dieser Taste erscheint
auf dem Display wieder die Standard-Anzeige
der abgelaufenen Zeit der CD.
16 WIEDERHOLTASTE, einmaliges Drücken bewirkt
Wiederholung sämtlicher Stücke der eingelegten
CD (bzw. aller programmierten Stücke, siehe ‘Pro-
grammierung’). Zweimaliges Drücken wiederholt
nur das eine laufende Stück, ein drittes Drücken
schaltet die Wiederholfunktion wieder ab.
17 Schieberegler für die LAUFGESCHWINDIGKEIT,
dabei ändern sich Tonhöhe und Länge eines
Stückes, der ‘Takt’ wird schneller oder langsamer.
Für die Standardgeschwindigkeit (und damit rich-
tige Tonhöhe) darf die Pitch-LED (8) nicht leuch-
ten.

Achtung! Stellen Sie die Kopfhörerlautstärke nie
sehr hoch ein. Hohe Lautstärken können auf
Dauer das Gehör schädigen! Das menschliche
Ohr gewöhnt sich an große Lautstärken und
empfindet sie nach einiger Zeit nicht mehr so
hoch. Darum eine hohe Lautstärke nach der
Gewöhnung nicht weiter erhöhen.

Aufstellung
Für den Betrieb des CD-Spielers in einem 19”-
Gestell sind die beiliegenden Montagewinkel am
Gerät anzuschrauben (Abb. 3). Bei Aufstellung als
Tischgerät entfallen die Winkel.

Anschluß
Auf der Geräterückseite befinden sich die Line-Aus-
gänge Links und Rechts (21) in Form von Cinch-
buchsen, diese sind mit einem abgeschirmten Audio-
kabel mit den entsprechenden Line-Eingängen eines
Stereo-Mischpultes oder -Verstärkers zu verbinden.
Das Netzkabel (22) ist bei ausgeschaltetem Gerät
[POWER-Taste (1) nicht gedrückt] mit einer Netz-
steckdose 230 V~/50 Hz zu verbinden.

Bedienung
Nach erfolgtem Anschluß wird am Verstärker
zunächst der für den CD-Spieler zuständige Regler
zugedreht, der Verstärker eingeschaltet und dann
ebenfalls der CD-Spieler mit seiner Netztaste (1) ein-
geschaltet.
Nach dem Einschalten leuchtet “NO DISC” auf
dem Display auf als Aufforderung, eine CD einzule-
gen. Mit der Taste (3) wird die Schublade geöffnet
und eine CD eingelegt.
Mit einem weichen Tuch (und keinesfalls mit
irgendwelchen Chemikalien) sollte man Fingerab-
drücke und Staub von der Oberfläche des Tonträ-
gers entfernen.
Achtung! Wenn nach dem Einlegen einer CD im
Display “Err” (= Error) oder “NO DISC” erscheint,
wird ein Fehler angezeigt. In den meisten Fällen ist
dann entweder die CD aus Versehen mit dem Label
nach unten eingelegt worden, oder die eingelegte
CD ist fehlerhaft. Andernfalls sprechen Sie bitte
Ihren Händler an.
Hinweis: Es ist möglich, daß fehlerhafte CDs nicht
richtig abgespielt werden können, da die eingebaute
Fehlerkompensationsschaltung nicht alle Fehler
ausgleichen kann.
Die Schublade kann jederzeit geöffnet werden. Eine
laufende CD wird mit der STOP-Taste (7) gestoppt,
danach wird die Taste zum Öffnen und Schließen (3)
gedrückt und die CD entnommen. Man kann nun
nach dem Einlegen einer Compact Disc direkt die
START/PAUSE-Taste (5) betätigen, die Schublade
fährt ein, es werden kurz Anzahl der Stücke und
Gesamtlänge angezeigt, und die CD wird mit dem
ersten Titel gestartet.
Wenn jedoch mit einem anderen Titel begonnen
werden soll, dann wird nach dem Einlegen einer
Compact Disc die Schublade wieder mit der
OPEN/CLOSE-Taste (3) geschlossen, auf dem Dis-
play erscheint die Anzahl der Stücke und die
Gesamtlänge. Nun wird durch mehrmaliges Tippen
der rechten Titelwahltaste (12) der gewünschte Titel
angewählt (im Display angezeigt) und durch Betäti-
gen der START/PAUSE-Taste (5) gestartet.
Unterbrechung des Abspielens kann durch
nochmaliges Drücken der START/PAUSE-Taste
erreicht werden, es erscheint ganz links im Display
zusätzlich zum Laufzeichen (Pfeil) das Pausenzei-
chen. Ein nochmaliges Drücken der Taste (5) läßt die
CD wieder weiterlaufen.
Zur Anwahl anderer Stücke werden entweder
die Titelwahltasten (12) vorwärts oder rückwärts
getastet oder die Wiederholungstaste (16) ein- oder
zweimal (für die ganze CD bzw. nur für ein Stück)
betätigt.

Programmierung
Zur Programmierung einer bestimmten Titelfolge
geht man wie folgt vor:
1) Nach Einlegen der CD und Schließen der Schub-
lade oder (bei eingelegter CD) nach Betätigung
der STOP-Taste (7) wird kurz die Programmierta-
ste (10) gedrückt und unmittelbar danach mit der
rechten Titelwahltaste (12) der erste gewünschte
13 ADVANCE and REVERSE buttons
The ADVANCE button (right) is kept depressed:
The CD player advances quickly to the end of the
CD. In 'programmed' condition the quick advance
is stopped at the end of the actual title being
played.
The REVERSE button (left) is kept depressed:
The CD player reverses to the beginning of the
CD. In 'programmed' condition the reverse ends
at the beginning of the actual title. Advancing and
reversing can be heard. Advancing or reversing is
stopped if the buttons are no longer depressed.
14 CUE button: If a playing CD has been set to a
pause by the PLAY/PAUSE button (5), then a
'stutter' effect can be produced by pushing the
CUE button. Depressed once, this function is
switched on, the CUE display lights up. De-
pressed again, the function is switched off, the
CUE display expires.
15 TIME button
The TIME button depressed once: The remaining
time of the actual title of the CD is indicated,
Depressed twice: The remaining total time of the
CD is indicated (except for programming).
Depressed again: The time elapsed of the actual
title is indicated again (standard display).
16 REPEAT button:
Depressed once: All titles of the loaded CD are
repeated (resp. all programmed titles, see 'Pro-
gramming'). Depressed twice: Only the actual
title is repeated. Depressed again: The repeat
function is cancelled.
17 PITCH control: To adjust the speed, pitch, length,
and 'time' of a title. The PITCH control slided to
the right: The CD speed is increased. Slided to
the left: The CD speed is decreased. For the
standard speed the pitch LED (8) must not light.

Attention! Never adjust the headphones volume
too high. Permanent high volumes may damage
a person's hearing. The hearing gets accustomed
to high volumes which after some time do not
seem to be so high. Therefore do not further
increase a high volume after getting used to it.

Installation
The CD player can either be mounted in a 19" rack or
used as a table top model. Rack mounting: Please
screw on the enclosed mounting brackets (fig. 3).
Table top model: No mounting brackets are neces-
sary.

Connections
LINE outputs left and right (21): Connect these cinch
jacks with the respective line inputs of a stereo
mixing console or amplifier by shielded audio cables.
Connect the mains cable (22) - the CD player being
switched off (POWER button (1) not depressed) - to
a 230 V~/50 Hz mains socket.

Operation
Carry out all connections as described above. Before
switching on the amplifier, the CD player control of
the amplifier must be turned down. Then switch on
the CD player with the POWER button (1).
When "NO DISC" is displayed at the CD player,
load a CD.
Loading a CD:
Depress the OPEN/CLOSE button (3) to open the
drawer and load a CD in the drawer with the label
facing upwards. A CD can be played on one side only.
Finger prints and dust should be removed with a
soft cloth (by no means use any chemicals) from the
CD.
Attention! If the display shows "NO DISC" or "Err"
(= Error) after loading a CD, an error is indicated. In
most cases the CD is by mistake loaded with the
label facing downwards or a faulty CD is loaded.
Otherwise contact your dealer.
Note: It is possible that faulty Cds cannot be played
correctly because the included error compensation
circuits cannot compensate for all faults.
Unloading a CD:
The drawer can be opened at any time by depres-
sing the STOP button (7) to stop a playing CD and
after that the OPEN/CLOSE button (3).
To start the CD with the first title:
Just depress the PLAY/PAUSE button (5): The
drawer is closed, the number and the total length of
the titles are shortly displayed, the first title is started.
To start the CD with any other title:
Depress the OPEN/CLOSE button (3) to close the
drawer. The number of titles and the total length are
displayed. Now depress the right selector button (12)
several times until the desired title is displayed, then
depress the PLAY/PAUSE button (5) to start the title.
To interrupt the play:
Depress the PLAY/PAUSE button (5) again. In addi-
tion to the play sign (arrow) quite left in the display
the pause sign is indicated. To continue the play,
depress the PLAY/PAUSE button (5) again.
To select other titles:
Depress the SELECTOR buttons (12) forward and
backward or the REPEAT button (16) once or twice
(for the complete CD resp. for one title only).

Programming
A special title sequence is programmed as follows:
1) Load a CD and close the drawer or (with a loaded
CD) push the STOP button (7). Shortly depress
the PROGRAM button (10). Immediately after
that select the first desired title with the right
SELECTOR button (12). The number lights up,
and 'P-01' is blinking.
2) By pushing the PROGRAM button again, the pro-
gramming of the first title is concluded, the blink-
ing stops.
