18. Scrapping
As provided in art. 13 of Italian Legislative Decree 25 July 2005,
n. 151 “enactment of directives 2002/95/EC, 2002/96/EC and
2003/108/EC, regarding the reduction in use of dangerous sub-
stances in electrical and electronic equipment, including scrap-
ping”.
The barred bin symbol on the equip-
ment indicates that at the end of
its service life the product must be
scrapped separately from other mate-
rials.
The manufacturer is responsible for separate scrapping of the
equipment at the end of its service life. The user must therefore
contact the manufacturer and follow the instructions given by
the latter for separate scrapping of the equipment at the end of
its service life.
Separate scrapping for subsequent recycling, treatment and
eco-compatible disposal contributes to avoiding negative ef-
fects for the environment and for the health of persons, and
promotes the reuse/recycling of the materials of which the
equipment is fabricated.
Incorrect/illegal scrapping is punishable by law.
