SPECIFIC TECHNICAL INFORMATION
1. Electrical panel and connection procedures
The electrical panel consists of a plastic box accommodat-
ing the mains connection plug [E] (
Þ
g.2), the earthing point
[F], the thermal reset [D] (220-230V version only) to prevent
overloading the motor, and the control buttons: the green
Start button [C], the red Normal Stop button [B], and the red
“mushroom” button for stopping the machine in an emer-
gency [A]. On the 380V version, the emergency stop button
consists of a mushroom shaped cover [A] which actuates the
normal stop button. The electrical panel is also equipped with
two fuses (three on the 380V version) for protecting against
current overloads and a cut-out coil for preventing the ma-
chine from restarting automatically after a power failure.
Before connecting the sawing machine to the mains
supply, check that the line is effectively protected upstream
with a differential switch and that it is sized in such a way as
to supply the machine with the voltage (± 5%) shown on the
data plate [7] (
Þ
g.1). In order to prevent power failures and
malfunctions, you are advised not to use extension cables
wound round drums and to size the cable conductors in ac-
cordance with the data set out in the table below:
Cable length (m)

Make certain that the supply cables are sound, i.e. free from
signs of crushing or damage, that they are of suitable type
for frequent moving, are sheathed in an abrasion-resistant
material (e.g. H07RN-F), consist of 2 poles + earth (single
phase) or 3 poles + earth (three-phase), and are protected
to class IP67 at the plug.
Connect the machine to the earth installation.
Connect the plug [E] (
Þ
g.2) to the mains supply, taking care
to tighten the mechanical lock nut properly.
2. Start-up
When
Þ
rst starting the machine and each time you con-
nect it to a different power supply, adopt the following proce-
dure to check the direction of rotation of the disc: position
yourself at the long side of the machine to which the power
supply is connected (
Þ
g.4) and run a short operating cycle
without load, by starting the machine with button [C] (
Þ
g.2)
and stopping it immediately afterwards with button [B] (
Þ
g.2).
The direction of rotation must correspond with the direction
shown on the data plate [7] (
Þ
g.1) and must coincide with the
direction of the blade teeth and the adhesive arrow af
Þ
xed to
the upper guard [4] (
Þ
g.1).
3. Emergency stop
In case of emergency, press the red mushroom button
[A] (
Þ
g.2). Once you have restored safe operating condi-
tions, turn the button clockwise in order to be able to restart
the machine (220-230V). Release the mushroom shaped
cover (380V).

4. Thermal cut-out
This safety device trips and cuts off the power supply if the electric motor overheats for any reason.
Check that the cause of overheating has been eliminated and press the Reset Thermal Cut-out button [D] (
Þ
g. 2).
