Launch Recovery
Use one of these methods to launch Recovery.
Press F10 during the initial system boot process.
Go to the Windows START menu and choose All Programs > PC Recovery Center > PC Recovery
Center.
Choose a Recovery Option
Master Boot Record Restore: Accessed through the launch method (F10) and replaces the Master
Boot Record with the original files.
MS System Restore: Accessed through both launch methods and takes you directly to Microsoft’s
System Tools for simple replacement of past data and information.
Non-Destructive Recovery: Restores the original Windows operating system and leaves the current
registry intact. User installed applications and data are retained and user installed updates are reset.
System Recovery - No Format: Creates and moves all C:\ files to C:\mybackup<date> to preserve
your data. The process then restores to the factory image. User applications need to be reinstalled.
Data files are still accessible in the new directory.
System Recovery - Quick Format: System is restored to its factory image and no data is retained.
Applications must be reinstalled.
