Adjusting flange back automatically (auto flange back)
You can adjust the flange back automatically, via Network.
f. If you click
of the one-push items, flange back will be automatically adjusted at around
the position of the current flange back.
It automatically adjusts flange back to maximize the horizontal contour component within
the detection frame.
In case automatic adjustment is poor, see the following precautions.
Precautions concerning auto flange back
First adjust the lens and focus to some extent.
Auto flange back function is an accessory function for final adjustment.
If the flange back was incorrect, retry.
If it still does not come into focus, adjust manually.
Depending on the condition, it may take time until the flange back stops.
Wait for a while until it stops.
If the meter is hardly displayed in focus indicator, it is not possible to fit the
flange back automatically.
Fix the rough focus with the lens.
Reflect subjects with considerable horizontal frame component.
Or, adjust manually.
Shoot subjects which are as still as possible.
With a subject in motion, it may be impossible to fit flange back in the desired
location.
If it is problematic, adjust manually.
Shoot while keeping a uniform distance between camera and subject in the
detection frame as far as possible.
With subject with depth, it may be impossible to fit flange back in a place you
would like.
If it is problematic, adjust manually.
Operation when it was not fitted with automatic flange back
Fit flange back in the center of the range of movement of flange back.
