Shield connection

To ensure the protection of the device against electrical interference and to ensure the safe
function of the device, the housing has to be connected to GND of the supply using the
shortest possible route.
► Establish the connection between the device and the ground of the installation using the intended
screw for RAM® Mount installation. If possible, use the thread next to the 40-pole AMP connector.
Shield connection
To avoid contact corrosion on the shield connection of the device, do not use any copper or
nickel-plated materials for the bolting elements!
► In very corrosive environments such as extremely salty air, use screws with surface finishing on a
zinc/nickel basis with thick-film passivation and sealing.
