Power Requirements
12V DC Power Supply
Power is supplied to the intercom by a 12V DC power supply connected to the V+ and V- terminals.
Power over Ethernet
The intercom can alternatively be powered via an 802.3af Class 3 compatible PoE switch or router.
When PoE is used, the 12VDC + and - terminals must not be wired to any other power source.
10/100 Ethernet Connection
Ethernet connection allows for installations that use either a dedicated Protege network (recommended for
multiple intercom installations) or simply connect the intercom and the controller to the building's existing
network.
When installing an ethernet connection, the intercom should be interfaced using a standard Cat 5/6 segment
(<100m in length) and should be connected to a suitable ethernet switch. Ethernet should be connected to the
WAN port on the intercom PCB board. For more information, see
