GENERAL DESCRIPTION
EN
RADIO INTERFERENCE:
When the microwave oven is in use, it can
cause interference to your radio, TV or similar
equipment. If there is any interference, it can
be reduced or eliminated by taking the
following measures:
1. Clean the microwave oven’s door and
door seal.
2. Reorient the radio or TV antenna.
3. Move the microwave oven to a different
location.
4. Move the microwave oven further away
from the receiver.
5. Plug the microwave oven into a different
socket, so that the microwave oven and the
receiver are on different circuits.
COOKING PRINCIPLES FOR MICROWAVE
OVENS:
1. Arrange the food carefully. Place the
thickest parts close to the edge of the plate.
2. Monitor the cooking time. Cook for the
shortest time indicated and continue
cooking if required. Overcooked food may
start to produce smoke or catch fire.
3. Cover the food while it is being cooked.
Covering the food prevents splashing and
helps to cook the food evenly.
4. Turn the food once during cooking. This
will cook food such as chicken and
hamburgers more quickly. Large pieces,
such as steak, for example, will need to
be turned at least once.
5. Rearrange food such as meatballs etc.
halfway through the cooking time by
turning them and moving them from the
centre to the edge of the plate.
IF THE OVEN DOES NOT WORK:
1. Check that the power cord has been
plugged in correctly. If not, unplug it from
the socket, wait 10 seconds and plug it
back in again.
2. Check that no fuses have blown and that
no residual current devices (RCDs) have
tripped. If neither of these is the case, test
the socket using another appliance.
3. Check that the control panel has been
programmed correctly and that the timer
has been set.
4. Check that the door has been closed
properly so that the safety lock works
correctly. If not, the microwave energy will
be prevented from entering the oven.
If none of the above resolves the issue, the
oven should be returned to the store where it
was purchased. Do not attempt to adjust or
repair the oven yourself.
