Installing and configuring the system
Use the scenario and instructions to install and configure IBM PureFlex
™
System. Please note that the
latest version of this document is maintained online.
Before you begin
If you ordered a single IBM PureFlex System chassis (no rack), you must perform additional installation
steps. The following graphic shows the front and rear views of chassis-only Express configuration 4a:

Note:
If you ordered a single IBM PureFlex System chassis (no rack), ensure that you record the locations
of each of the chassis components before you remove them. Use the label template that was shipped with
the chassis to perform this task.
If you have Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) cables that where shipped with the system chassis, you must plug
them into the appropriate ports.
Small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceivers should be taken from the ship group and placed in the
chassis as follows:
