The front fan is available on only certain models of the IntelliStation Z Pro. On
those models that contain this component, complete the following steps to remove
the front fan:
1. Turn off the computer and attached devices; then, disconnect all power cords
and external cables.
2. Remove the cover, support bracket and baffle (see“Removing the side cover” on
page 39 and “Removing and installing the support bracket” on page 42).
3. Rotate the drive cage up.
4. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
5. Reaching under the drive cage, grasp the fan and slide it toward the drive cage
until it pulls free of the chassis.
6. Pull the fan up and out of the chassis.
To install the front fan, reverse the previous steps, sliding the fan into place.
Operator information panel
Note: Read “Installation guidelines” on page 35 and the safety notices at “Safety
information” on page 117.
Complete the following steps to remove the operator information panel:
1. Turn off the computer and attached devices; then, disconnect all power cords
and external cables.
2. Remove the cover, support bracket and baffle (see“Removing the side cover” on
page 39 and “Removing and installing the support bracket” on page 42).
3. Remove the front bezel (see “Front bezel” on page 40).
4. Rotate the drive cage up.
