serial
ports

sure

port

unique
address

serial

is
disabled.

The
serial-port
adapter,
if
you
installed
one,
is
seated
correctly.
If
the
problem
remains,
call
for
service.
A
serial
device
does
not
work.

sure
that:

The
device
is
compatible
with
the
computer.

The
serial
port
is
enabled
and
is
assigned
a
unique
address.
v
The
device
is
connected
to
the
correct
connector.

Run
serial
port
diagnostics.

Replace

failing
serial
device.

no

will
work
during

System-board
error
LEDs

lit
