| 9. Power on the IBM 2212 by plugging in the power cord.
| 10. Verify the LEDs. See “LED Indicators” on page 1-2.
| 11. Notify the network administrator that you are finished.

Exchanging a DRAM Feature on a High-Performance System Card
| Refer to “Handling Static-Sensitive Devices” on page 2-2 before exchanging a
| DRAM feature.

| 1. Remove power from the IBM 2212 by unplugging the power cord.
| 2. Remove the cables from the high-performance system card. You may want to
| label each cable as you disconnect it for ease of reconnection.
| 3. The high-performance system card is secured with two levers. To remove this
| adapter, release both levers by pushing outward on them.
| Remove the card from the IBM 2212.
| 4. To remove the DRAM DIMM, use your thumbnail to gently pull the black side
| latch away from the DRAM. The DRAM slides forward, out of the socket, on the
| latch side. While holding the service port ribbon cables up, gently pull the
| DRAM module out of the DRAM memory socket.
| 5. Remove the new DRAM DIMM from its packaging. Handle it by the ends
| without touching the components or gold connection tabs.
| 6. Ensure that the black side latch is away from the DRAM DIMM memory socket.
| Lift the service port ribbon cables to prevent interference with the DRAM DIMM
| insertion; do not unplug the service port ribbon cables. Insert the DRAM DIMM
| into its slot by placing it, connector-edge down, into the socket. The DRAM
| DIMM key positions and DRAM DIMM memory socket need to be in alignment
