Problem
Action
FAN
When
the
LED
is
lit,
a
fan
has
failed
or
is
operating
too
slowly.
A
failing
fan
can
also
cause
the
TEMP
LED
to
be
lit.
When
the
LED
flashes,
an
invalid
fan
configuration
has
occurred.
Replace
the
failing
fan,
which
is
indicated
by
the
lit
LED.
If
a
configuration
error
has
occurred,
make
sure
that
the
fans
are
installed
correctly.
TEMP
The
system
temperature
has
exceeded
a
threshold
level.

Determine
whether
a
fan
has
failed.
If
it
has,
replace
it.
v
Make
sure
that
the
air
vents
are
not
blocked.
v
Make
sure
that
the
room
temperature
is
not
too
high.

for

information.
If
the
problem
remains,
call
for
service.

An
error
has
occurred
on
the
system
board
or
there
is
a
battery
fault

Check
the
LEDs
on
the
system
board
to
identify
the
component
that
is
causing
the
error.

Check
the
system
error
log
for
information
about
the
error.
v
Check
the
battery
and
replace
it
if
it
is
defective.

An
error
has
occurred
on
PCI
bus
A
Check
the
PCI-Express
Adapter
in
slot
2
for
an
error
or
there
might
be
a
general
system
board
malfunction.

An
error
has
occurred
on
PCI
