DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE
The machine is made up of a four shaft shredder with rotating blades.
Once the material has been put in the hopper and the plant started, the shredder itself grips and
cuts the waste into roughly-sized pieces (about 3-4 cm)
Thanks to the high torque available and the different shapes of the shredder group, different
pieces of material can be shredded.
All the process is managed automatically by a control PLC, programmable from the special front
section with display on the electrical switchboard panel.
SHREDDER GROUP
Loader Unit
:
hopper (1).
Shredder unit:
4 shafts with cutting elements made up of
sharp-edged disks (3) provided with hooks (2).
Each hook has the task of
“
hooking
”
on to the
product and to transport it towards the cutters
(4) assembled on two or more counter-rotating
driving shafts which slice the material.
Drive unit:
asynchronous AC electric motor linked to an
epicycloidal gearmotor, connected between
the cutter holder shafts and transporters with
oil bath lubrication for the gears.
Safety device:
it temporarily inverts the direction of the
blades,
thus
avoiding
any
structural
overloading or breakage to the machine if their
is a build-up of material and it is too much to
shred. This device enables optimum calibration
of the grinding group so as not to penalise
productivity and regular functioning.
