RESIDUAL RISKS AND HAZARDS
3.8.1
RESIDUAL CUTTING RISKS
During the handling phases of the cutters and shredders (maintenance, calibration, replacement),
there is the risk of getting cuts because of the sharp cutting edges of the cutters.
WARNING
The operator must use suitable individual protective devices, such as gloves with the
requirements as indicated in the EN 388 standard, he must also take the precaution
of covering the blades with rubber protections.
3.8.2
RESIDUAL RISK GENERATED BY NOISE
The shredder, when turning at a low number of revs, is generally within the acoustic pressure
safety limits. However, given the different types of material, should the noise exceed threshold
allowed, we advise the use of acoustic protection cabins or headsets.
Important!
The clothes to be worn and the means of protection must comply with the CEE 686
directives as regards to personal protection, or as an alternative according to the
regulations in force in the country of the user
3.8.3
Residual risk caused by cutters blocking.
Should the conditions occur whereby one of the cutter shafts blocks due to build up of material in
the shredder chamber, the attempt on the part of the operator to rectify this situation could create
a risk condition.
WARNING
Do not carry out impulsive or irrational actions.
In the case of necessity contact the manufacturer.
