INTRODUCTION

GAME FEATURES

Thank you for your purchase of the new TIP THE
SCALE™ game from I.C.E.

TIP THE SCALE™ is a unique twist on the standard
Candy Crane game. Instead of just playing to win a
scoop of candy, TIP THE SCALE™ allows the
player to make multiple attempts at getting more
candy, but with the risk of losing it all if he or she
gets too greedy.

The game is based on our mini series of cranes that
incorporate the following:

Full metal Cabinet - The entire visible portion of the
cabinet is made of 16 to 13 gage steel that is pow-
ered epoxy coated for maximum durability. All other
cabinet materials are selected for their unique prop-
erties for each application.

Real glass windows - Unlike some of our competi-
tors that use plastic windows or thin glass, we use a
full 1/4" thick tempered glass for extra security,
safety, and reliability.

The game uses a redesigned crane assembly that
has been improved over earlier versions. The new
version includes 2 sealed magnetic switches for the
front back limits, and bronze slider bushings for in-
creased life and reliability. The gear motors have
been time tested for their reliability. A miniature mi-
cro track guide is used to conceal and bundle all of
the wiring that goes to the crane assembly. SUPER-
FLEX™ wiring is used for very long life of the crane
harnessing.

A new P.C. Board with advanced circuitry is used on
this machine. Built in short circuit protection on the
motor and solenoid drivers provides added protec-
tion to prevent Main P.C. Board failure.

The game utilizes a unique scale for game play that
uses reliable strain gages and is solid state. The
scale is calibrated through game programming and
is extremely reliable. The scale has very high resolu-
tion for accurate payouts.

The game also incorporates a scale needle that is
driven by a dependable servo motor . Jumbo
L.E.D.'s round out the look of the scale assembly.

GAME PLAY

The object of the game is to load as much candy
onto the scale as possible without overloading the
scale.

The game is begun by inserting money.

Move the crane into the desired position and press
the drop button. The claw then drops, picks up
candy and returns it to the scale. When the candy is
dropped on the scale, the needle on the scale dial
moves to show how much the candy weighs.

The player then has the option of taking the candy
on the scale or continuing to play. This is done by
pushing either the "Take Candy" or "Continue" but-
ton. The player may continue to try to win more
candy until either the game timer runs out of time or
until the scale is overloaded and the game is lost.
Any time the player presses the "Take Candy" but-
ton, the game pays out the candy and the game
ends.

If the game runs out of time and the scale was not
overloaded, the game will pay out any candy on the
scale at the time.

The game is fully programmable and features easy
set up for percentaging (See programming section of
manual).
