9. USB PLAYER
MP3 and WMA music tracks located on a memory device connected using the USB socket may
be played by the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio. Refer to section 7 (CD Player) for controlling the
playback of MP3 / WMA files. The same method of control is used when MP3 / WMA files are
stored on either a CD or USB device.
9.1 Playing Music Files.
1. To play music files using the USB connection, connect your USB device to the USB socket
located inside the centre console. (See below picture)
2. When the USB memory device is connected, the radio will change to USB Mode, display

and then music playback will begin.
Notes When Using the USB Player:
a) If there are no compatible music files found on the USB device, the radio returns to the
previous mode and displays

USB Error
will be displayed if the USB device is not compatible with the radio.
c) Use of MULTI-CARD READER devices may not work correctly.
d) USB music players will be recognized as storage devices by the radio.
9.2 Charging USB Player
When a USB device is connected to the radio, the USB device will be charged whilst the
vehicle ACC switch is ON. The radio does not need to be operating.
Notes When Using the USB Socket for Charging:
a) Effective battery charging of USB devices using the USB socket cannot be assured.
b) The power is available at the USB socket when the vehicle ignition switch is in the ACC
position. The radio is not required to be operating.
