9.4 Controlling
Truma
appliances with mobile terminal
(special equipment)
Depending on the equipment, a Truma iNet-Box is installed in the vehicle.
With the Truma iNet-Box, the heater and the air conditioning unit can be op-
erated from a mobile terminal (e.g. smartphone, tablet PC) via an app. The
Truma app can be downloaded for common mobile terminals from the re-
spective app stores.
There are two possibilities for the communication between the Truma appli-
ance and the mobile terminal:
Bluetooth connection (limited range)
Connection via the mobile communication network (a mini SIM card with
own telephone number and sufficient credit is required; not included in
the scope of delivery). Operating is carried out via SMS.
The operation of the Truma appliances is possible from multiple mobile ter-
minals. In order to do this, the Truma app must be installed on each mobile
terminal.
When the mobile terminal has an Internet connection, the instructions for
operating the Truma appliances are downloaded and stored. The in-
structions will then be available at any time (even without Internet con-
nection).
